Grip, Stance & Posture – most pros call them the three pillars of a great golf swing. No matter how expert and experienced you are, if you have trouble with your golf swing, chances are you are doing something wrong with your grip, stance or posture – or maybe all three.

Every beginner golf player needs instruction about achieving a perfect golf swing. No matter how much of a genius you are, it is not likely you’ll get a good golf swing going without a lot of practice and trial.

So how can you learn to work out the kinks in your golf swing by fixing your grip, stance and posture?

Read a book:

While it may not always be easy to understand the niceties of a golf swing entirely from reading a book, it is often the easiest way to begin. Once you have learned the basics, you can get more personalized assistance with refining your technique.

If you are reading a book about improving your golf swing, make sure it has pictures that illustrate what is being advised. Golf swing exercises are one area where a picture is indeed worth a thousand words!

Visit a golf course:

Contact the pro at your nearest golf course and country club and ask if they offer instruction on improving your golf swing. Often they will, and at around $40 an hour, you can get priceless coaching to make your swing better.

Ask people:

If not, you can run an ad in your newspaper – or see if anyone is offering golf training. Or ask friends who play golf and are ‘experts’ if they will share their tips with you. If you play up to their vanity, you might be surprised!

Surf the Web:

On the Internet you will find countless websites offering free golf training. Some of them offer videos which you can review to see what you’re doing wrong – and then fix it. To refresh your memory, the three pillars of your golf swing you need to work on are grip, stance and posture.

No matter which kind of training you seek, one of the key elements is to keep your mind focused at all times on your golf swing.

Achieving the Correct Golf Swing

Achieving the correct golf swing is the magic key that will open all the doors to better and more enjoyable golf. It is common knowledge that a correct golf swing is essential to playing good golf and it has a major influence on how well you will actually is able to play.

The correct golf swing is simply two basic movements and one connection that enables you: to hit longer shots by generating more club-head speed to hit straighter shots consistently, by better club-head control. If you imagine yourself in a garbage can you will understand that the correct golf swing is AROUND your body. Generally, the correct golf swing is a set of highly complex body movements which require precise coordination of the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, torso, hips, legs, and knees of the golfer.

Golf is actually a sport that demands a lot of energy contrary to what many people believe. Golf is like any other sport, and that means preparing to play your best. Golfers are now realizing there is a fitness component to golf, and are seriously considering fit for golf approach. Golfers are now realizing there is a fitness component to golf, and are seriously considering getting fit for golf. Golf has always been a popular game, but with the coming of Tiger Woods it certainly has become even more popular and many more people are taking to the game having been inspired by the achievements of this golfing great.

This is the goal of the golf swing: keep the golf club in a slot, essentially dissecting the shoulder on the back swing and follow through. Keep in mind, we are not going to make a perfect swing every time, but that is our goal. How do we go about keeping the swing on the correct plane and developing feel. The first answer to this question has to do with your golf swing mechanics.

If your body is not conditioned, what will tend to happen is that your game will deteriorate as you continue playing. While the golfer cannot do anything to affect the influence of the wind, other external factors and other complexities of the game, he or she can, by developing a consistent and repeatable golf swing, consistently control the flight pattern of the ball, its trajectory, the amount of spin or curve, and the distance that the ball travels. The problem is that of finding the time away from their golf game to take golf lessons.

Golfers have struggled for years with their games and have become very frustrated. Golfers are rabid and will pay any amount of money in hopes to play better golf. Golfers are no exception and apart from valuable golfing tips being widely available on the net, the other huge advantage is that it has become a lot easier to find good golf products.

The correct golf swing is not easily achieved with just a single practice session. The only way to learn the correct golf swing is through consistent practice. The reason is because the correct golf swing is a set of movements that the body finds extremely unnatural and uncomfortable.

You Can Learn From Free Golf Swing Videos

You will find out where you can find free golf swing videos online. I have chosen several examples of great golf videos that you can watch for free and learn from.

Amazingly, you can still find free stuff on the internet like free golf swing videos. At the beginning of the internet everything was free, until marketers realized the potential to sell anything and everything. That is why it is becoming more and more difficult to find good quality free information.

improving golf swing
As a golf writer that tries to bring you golf tips for beginners and free golf tips, I decided to come up with a website that gives you a good variety of free golf videos. Now, I am not tying to compete with YouTube, in fact these videos come into my site from them; just that I employ a script that filters the results a bit better so that you get more relevant videos. So, let’s take a look at the golf swing category to see what you will find.

You will find on the golf swing page about 25 videos dealing with the golf swing. There are many videos about the Tiger Woods golf swing – everything from slow motion analysis to examples of the dynamics of his swing. You will also see other famous names like the Ben Hogan golf swing and Tom Watson’s secrets to the golf swing. For the more technically minded golfer, there are videos on the biomechanics of the golf swing.

A video of Tiger’s swing called “Tiger Woods Golf Swing Critiqued” is interpreted by the Live @ Guys from the 2008 Buick Invitational. In this slow motion video, Tiger is on a par-3 using a short iron which gives another perspective of his swing. It is a good example of short iron play which many golfers could learn from – unlike the videos of Tiger using a driver, which I don’t think many golfers should even attempt to copy!

One of the classic videos of Tiger’s golf swing is critiqued in this video; “Tiger Woods & Bob Toski – analysis of Tiger’s golf swing.” This seven minute video shows several versions and angles of his swing with a driver. There is great narrative all the way through that really explains what is going on with the different parts of his golf swing. The slow motion parts are particularly revealing as they are frames are paused to let you see the position of his club and different parts of his body throughout the swing.

Of course, you have the ability to search for any of hundreds of free golf swing videos. If you are not a Tiger fan, you could search for any of your favorite players. Searching for Ernie Els brings up many fine videos of the South African’s beautiful swing. There are shots from Ernie at many tournaments showing his perfect swing tempo plus dozens more that will be of interest to the golf student.

If you need help in specific areas of your golf swing, you can search for how to grip the club, the setup position, the backswing, or any other aspect of the swing that you want to perfect. Maybe you want to watch a video from a famous golf instructor; just search for David Leadbetter, Butch Harmon, or Bobby Eldridge and you will find dozens of free golf videos from these instructors and others.

So, before going out to spend a fortune on golf lessons, why not browse the free golf swing videos. It is a great resource for any golfer who wants to find free golf tips and videos. You can learn a lot from these videos or you could search for great golfing moments from history for a bit of entertainment. Check out the link below to find out where you can see these online golf videos.

Improving Golf Swing Through Exercise

Golf swing training is once of the most vital areas of a prospective golfer’s game. It’s important to note though that not all golf swing training programs are the same.

It’s a fact that some training programs are much better than others. This article will cover the aspects that go towards making a good golf swing training program.

Before getting on the golf course, it’s vital that your body is fully prepared physically and particularly your muscles that will be needed for your golf swing.

golf swing sequence
Stretching exercises are a vital part of golf swing training. Exercises specific to golf can be very powerful and extremely effective in achieving a better golf swing.

The great thing is that you don’t have to be in the gym for a long period of time or away from your work place to carry out many golf swing stretch exercises. There are loads of stretching exercises that can be done in a spare moment in your office, all through the day.

Using dumbbells as part of a weight training programme can be very useful here too, the idea not being to build bigger muscles but to strengthen your golf swing muscles.

It’s a good idea to consult golf exercise experts who will be able to instruct you how to carry out the dumbbell exercises that will help to build up your strength but without giving you bulging muscles.

This is a main reason why the dumbbell exercise programs are heavily used by women golfers and young teenagers.

These particular golf swing exercises can be directly transferred to the golf course where you can utilize golfing exercise products such as the weighted golf club.

This will help you to enhance and condition your golfing muscles at the same time as you practice the correct golf swing technique.

Once you reach the point of actually hitting golf balls you will discover that your drives will be longer and also your own self-confidence will increase. Golf swing training will make a very big difference in improving your golf game.

Better Golf Swing Tips

Get a Better Golf Swing with these Free Golf Swing Tips

Achieving your best golf swing is the key to playing golf. So many people actually try too hard. I would like to teach you a few things that I have found useful that will improve your golf swing for good.

There are steps you can take to achieve your best golf swing. First, your goal is to find your natural swing, what I mean by that is, don’t put forth any effort when hitting the ball. When your mind and body are in sync your swing will be as simple as closing your eyes.

golf swing help, better golf swing

To find your natural power start by trying to keep your hands "soft" throughout the swing, leave the club at the top of your backswing for as long as you possibly can. "Soft hands" is keeping your muscles supple from your elbows through your fingers, trying this will promote a quicker and snappier release through impact of the clubface and the ball.

By leaving the club at the top, it will feel much more natural. When you get your body set at the top of your back-swing and make sure you keep the club at the top, this will allow you to begin the downswing with your thigh and leg muscles, which are much larger and more powerful than your hands. By driving the downswing with the body instead of with just your hands, you can create some serious lag. It will release when your club head comes in contact with the ball.

These two methods will help you see that effortless swings are the secret to more distance. People generally make the mistake of seeing the target and feeling that they have to use more strength to achieve the distance, which in turn makes you feel like you have to use more muscle, this is a misconception.

Trying too hard can cause a lot of discouragement. Golf could then easily become more of a chore than a game that is played for enjoyment. They may start to wonder at this point, why they even started the game to begin with. Golf is meant to be relaxing, and when it is played right, it is great for you, physically and mentally. If a person could just close their eyes and just swing they could understand why golf is such an enjoyment.

If you’re ready to start swinging like the pro’s then I invite you to visit http://www.freegolfswingtips.net/ where you will find many more Free Golf Tips including how to Improve your Golf Swing.
