Left Handed Golf Instruction

Article by Simon Seal

Finding left handed golf instruction has always been difficult for me, and if you play left handed I’m sure you have had the same problem.

I have had lessons with a few golf instructors and I have found that it is very difficult for both the instructor and me. Why has it got to be like this? I’m of the opinion that if you are a golf pro and teaching golf to the public, then you should be able to teach right or left handed golfers.

I think I have just been unlucky as I’m sure a really good coach could teach anyone, be it right handed or left handed golf instruction. All I can say is that it really did put me off going to a professional golf instructor.

I now use golf instruction eBooks that I can get from the internet. I find that I can use these kinds of instruction books as I can take my time to digest the information. I must admit that most of these do come with instructions for the right handed players, but there are some exceptions. Some books do cater for us and provide a download for left handed golf instruction. You just need to look for the correct file to download.

Getting right handed instructions though is not the end of the world. All you really need to do is transpose anything saying right with left and vice versa. After a while you get used to this and it does become easier. The best way to learn new techniques from one of

Tips for a left-hander golfing right handed? (Plus any golfing tips/info for a newbie would be appreciated)?

Question by mar00n: Tips for a left-hander golfing right handed? (Plus any golfing tips/info for a newbie would be appreciated)?
Tomorrow at noon i have a golfing lesson that my grandpa is taking me to. The only problem is that they have no left handed drivers and i swing left handed. I’m taking the lesson anyway but, obviously, i’ll have to swing right handed. Anyway, does anybody have any tips for me? Or really just any golfing tips or info at all so i don’t look like a complete moron tomorrow?

By the way, I’m not experienced golfing left handed at all whatsoever either, just some putting, and i only know i’m left handed because i’m a big baseball player and from the little putting (and mini golf back home haha).

P.S. I’m pretty ambidextrious which i’m hoping will help a little. I write and throw right handed as my right hand is my dominant hand.

Thank you!

In baseball, are you a switch hitter?

If you bat left handed in baseball, you should swing left handed in Golf. If you can switch hit in baseball, then you can probably learn to golf either way.

If you write & throw right handed, then it sounds like you are right handed and should be swinging right handed anyway. You can always putt the other way if it feels more comfortable.

One more tip: if you do learn to golf and find that you can swing either way, it might be a good idea to carry one club that is set for the opposite side. So if you learn to play left handed, carry one right handed club anyway. This way if/when you get in a situation where you’re near an obstruction and can’t take a left handed swing, you can use the right handed club and stand on the other side.

Deeming Of Left Handed Golf Drivers

Article by Michelle Whiting

When looking for left handed golf drivers, you should always regard the quality, the value, and the performance. Different companies produce different sizes and shapes of the drivers and the shape of the driver is determines the type of shot that you will take. The disparity between the left handed and the right handed drivers is the part of the face and the point of connection to the club. These are associated facing the left while the others face the right.

Most of the left hand drivers have a crown shape and these are meant to take arced shots. For the weighty drivers, they are intended to hit the ball as far as possible. The weight pulls the club down and appends to the speed and when it pulls the club down, it lowers the center of gravity thus giving the ball a perfect shot. These are some of the grounds most of the left golfers are known for the longest distance shots. Most of drivers are made for a mid-high shooting angle and the diameter of the driver determines how far the ball will go. A thicker driver could be a sign of a heavier club and therefore a stronger shot. You could also consider the flex when you are selecting a good club.

Geometry matters most when you are picking a driver for the left hand. The driver must always be competent of taking a high speed swing of up to 100 meters per second. You can shop for the golf drivers but

Searching For Left Handed Golf Equipment

Article by Michelle Whiting

One in ten people is left-handed, and while that isn’t an overwhelming majority, it’s nothing to be sneezed at either. Regardless of having millions of left-handed golfers around the world, there are still very few golf equipment companies specializing in left-handed golf. Life isn’t made for left-handed people in general especially for left golfers. Left-handed golfers will struggle a variety of challenges when studying and playing the game of golf, mostly if you aren’t using the proper equipments. Luckily, a lot of golf brands are starting to catch on to the need for quality left-handed golf equipment.

There is a lot of disparity in the way that left-handed golf players play golf. Some left-handed golfers play with right-handed clubs using their right hands, while others play left-handed with right-handed clubs, and the rest play with whatever feels most at ease, whatever that may be. Whether it is a result of different beliefs in older generations, or a sensible way of making golf simpler for themselves, it’s worth taking a few swings on a the appropriate club for you before ordering a special set of left-handed clubs. Clearly, the most important piece of golfing equipment is your golf clubs. You will have to purchase a special lefty set of clubs if you will be playing golf. Most of the top golf club brands have a series of left-handed golf clubs

It’s not easy being left handed, when everything is set up for the convenience of people who are right handed. The doorknobs are on the wrong side of the doors. Cupboards and cabinets don’t swing open the way you’d prefer. In school, the desks open on the wrong side. The equipment you need to participate in sports may be hard to find. In some sports, being left handed isn’t a big deal. Football and soccer, for instance, don’t require special equipment for lefties. Softball or baseball players who are left handed must wear mitts that will fit them. When it comes to golf, special clubs are essential. If you’re left handed, you must use special golf clubs or you’ll find you can’t hit the ball correctly. While that might be great for your opponent it can be disastrous for you. Where should you look if you want to purchase left handed golf clubs?

Beginners at golf may want to hold off before getting top of the line left handed golf clubs. You’d be better off looking on large sites such as Craigslist or Ebay. You can find many listings here by experienced players who are ready to replace older golf clubs. This is one of the best ways to find golf clubs at a discount price. You can find used clubs that are still in great condition at a much lower price than new ones. The only problem is, when you buy them online, you can’t see them or test them for yourself. For

Who Can You Purchase Left Handed Golf Clubs From?

Being left handed can be difficult, as almost everything is made for right handed people. The doorknobs are on the wrong side of the doors. Cupboards and cabinets don’t swing open the way you’d prefer. In schools, it can be hard to find desks for the left handed. You are often required to buy specialized sporting equipment. There are sports, of course, where it isn’t an issue if you’re left handed. Football and soccer, for instance, don’t require special equipment for lefties. If you’re playing baseball, though, your glove has to be left handed. When it comes to golf, special clubs are essential. You won’t be able to hit the ball the right way if your golf clubs haven’t been designed to fit your dominant arm. Having the wrong kind of club can completely ruin your game. What is the best place to find golf clubs for the left handed?

The most popular option for clubs on Overstock is the Delta Ladies Pro Hybrid Golf Club Set. Overstock listed the price at one hundred twenty dollars when this article was written. This product, which includes ten clubs, currently has a five star rating. The marketing for this set describes them as being designed for the “lady golfer”. From what we can tell there isn’t a lot of difference between women’s and men’s golf clubs. These clubs should be usable by either men or women from what we can tell.

Finding Left Handed Golf Gifts for Your Friends and Family

Article by Michelle Whiting

Thinking about what gifts to give to your left handed golfer friends can be a hard task to do, especially around gift-giving seasons. Finding left handed golf gifts can be a challenge but quite fulfilling once you see them receive your gifts with happy faces, knowing that they will enjoy playing their favorite sport. However, when thinking of what gifts to give to left handed golfers, you don’t always have to get items which specifically target their kind. There are other golf gift items that both left and right handed golfers will enjoy and have nothing to do with handedness. There are gifts for all types of golfers and your budget.

One of the best gifts you can give to a golfer is a set of golf balls with special or personalized logo. They may cost more than your regular golf balls but given as gifts, they are all worth the extra price. For the technically inclined or concerned with statistics, you can give them a GPS system which can tell you the distance between you and your target. There are many GPS model available with price depending on the bells and whistles they have. One excellent left handed golf gift idea that you could give your loved ones, is golf training. It may be difficult to find left handed golf training but one for right handed golfers will work just fine. They only need to do one thing – reverse everything the instructor has to say when it

Tips for the perfect left handed golf grip

left handed golf swing
by Ron,Ron,Ron

Article by Dan

As we’ve all read in Ben Hogans book “golf begins with a good grip” This valuable cautionary advice has been duplicated by just about all golf teachers, who evenly emphasise the need for an effective golf grip as the fundamental keystone of your fantastic golf swing. How come all golf course instructors place significant focus on an excellent grip? The most important purpose of your hands should be to hold tightly onto the golf club – the hands should be thought of as simply being “clamps” that will tightly hold onto the golf club whilst the club is moved through the zone of impact. The hands shouldn’t positively manipulate the club during the impact area.

One of the primary causes of inadequate chipping in addition to pitching is usually excess hand action or ‘flicking’ that golf club through the ball. The complete release of the golf club head is very important whenever striking complete shots, however any time it comes to sensitive chip golf shots around the green it is essential to have complete control of the club head at the moment of impact and through the ball.

By means of adjusting the left hand grip to display much more knuckles, directly into what’s typically referred to as your ‘strong’ grip, it gets less of a challenge to advance your club into the golf ball together with power.

Do You Need These Left Handed Golf Clubs?

Article by Cheapgolf

It was windy Thursday at the Honda Classic. Pins rattled, putters shook and scores soared as the PGA Tour began its annual Florida swing.

Here, I want to say, there is a cheap left handed golf clubs. That is Left Handed Callaway X-22 Irons + Hyper X 460 Ti Driver + Hyper X Fairway Wood (=http://www.buygolfsets.com/goods-942-Left+Handed+Callaway+X-22+Irons++Hyper+X+460+Ti+Driver++Hyper+X+Fairway+Wood.html).

Levin handled the conditions, shooting a three-under 67 for a one-shot lead over a group of five players. The first round was suspended because of darkness with 12 players still on the course.

The Left Handed Callaway X-22 irons (=http://www.buygolfsets.com/goods-885-Callaway+X-22+Left+Irons.html) feature a 10-percent higher MOI than its predecessors through maximizing perimeter weighting. Its center of gravity has been preserved to generate optimal ball flight and its precision notch weighting positions more weight to the perimeter to create more stability and forgiveness, all while maintaining a tour-inspired head shape with a thinner top line and narrower sole. The result is an iron that is incredibly forgiving, while still incorporating the look and feel that better players prefer.

“It’s a different kind of golf,” said Levin, who is seeking his first tour title. “You get in a par mode, really, where you just have to take what the course gives you.

Left-Handed Golf Instruction

Left Handed Golf Instruction

The world’s population may be 10 to 15% lefties, but there are not many left-handed golfers. The main reason is that most of them prefer to stick to right-handed golf. In addition, it used to be quite difficult to come across left-handed instruction manuals and left-handed golf clubs.

But that is a thing of the past now, since more and more golf instruction manuals are being targeted to lefties. The top coach Steve Anderson has authored the book ‘On the Other Hand’, which is meant for left-handed golfers. Bob Charles is one of the best left-handed golfers in the world and he has put together an instruction video, the only one of its kind, to give insight on how he achieved success as a lefty golfer. The game of golf also lays stress on playing it more with your eyes than your hands.

Some famous lefthanders are quite ambidextrous this way, using their left hand only for the game and their right for everything else. Experts say that it is required to look at the ball first and visualize it going away from your body. That will show you which side of the ball to take. The world has seen very few top left-handed golfers.

But these instructional tutorials might prove helpful to hone talent. They give you clear and comprehensible instructions on how to play your game the left-handed way. You get more insight on your full swings, putting and even game management. Mike Weir and Phil Mickelson are the two names that appear together with Bob Charles as the world’s top three left-handed golfers.

Left-handed equipment might also be difficult to come across, but there are some sites which offer a wealth of it. Golf Smith and The Golf Warehouse are two international sites that stock a wide range of these products. Edwin Watts of U.S.A. and Online Golf in Europe have also been serving a long line of such web customers.
