Andy Brown from St Andrews “The Home Of Golf”, Scotland explains how the early backward wrist break is your answer to lower golf scores and straighter and longer shots. This video shows how you can dramatically cut 7 to 12 strokes from your handicap and have the perfect golf swing. It is a must watch for any golfer. Download the accompanying free 60 page PDF report and 19 minute audio from http Hi my name is Andy Brown amd in this video I would like to talk about the first of the four magic moves. If you have read the free golf swing report or have listened to the audio I give away on the site you will already know that the first magic move is one where you must start the backswing with an early backward wrist break. And as the backward break is one of the key points – I want to be absolutely certain you understand what I mean. First, hold your right hand in front of you, fingers together and extended, thumb up and the palm squarely facing to the left. From that position bend the hand to the right, trying to make the fingers come back towards the outside of the wrist. You won’t be able to get them anywhere near the wrist, but a person with supple wrists can bend the hand back until they form a right angle. I’m almost there as you can see. Quite simply this straight back motion of the hand is the backward wrist break. The right hand moves towards the outside

How To Make The Proper Golf Swing Using A Golf Swing Monitor

proper golf swing
by dæxus

Article by Ian Bell

The police use a speed gun to check the speed of approaching vehicles and a similar one is used in baseball to clock the speed of the pitch. Not to be left behind, golf has the “golf swing launch monitor” to study the art of the swing.

The golf swing monitor is designed to tell a golfer a host of information which include: club speed, angle of launch, face impact position, ball speed, flight time, distance carried and yards off line. The information gathered can help the novice and even the avid golfer study the physics of his swing, correct the errors that he s committing and get the proper golf swing.

The machine analyses more than a hundred swings of the golfer to give its results. Both amateurs and professional can use this contraption to better their swing.

These machines are produced by a number of companies and you can get one at the nearest sports goods store.

Now that you have your golf swing monitor machine and the results of its analysis, what exactly does the information convey? Just numbers? No. If properly understood it can tell you whether your ball speed is proportionate to your club head speed. If not, then it means that you are not striking the ball dead centre with the flat face of the club. A ratio of 1:1.5 would be an ideal one. Simply stated, a club head speed of 100 mph. should make the ball travel at a speed of 150

The Analysis Of A Proper Golf Swing

by blahsfu

Article by Ian Bell

Golfers like Tiger Woods are envied for their skill in the execution of the proper golf swing. The pure joy of watching them swing their clubs and sending the ball soaring up into the air and away over the fairway, knows no bounds. The proper golf swing can be called the Holy Grail of Golf. It is the proper golf swing that separates the chaff from the grain; the rookie from the veteran and the true golfer from the pseudo.

The popularity of golf throughout the world has spawned a number of books, golf swing instructions and DVDs aimed at improving the swinging ability of the golfer. Some people find these materials effective some do not. The principal reason behind the failure of most of these guides is the difference in the anatomy of every individual golfer. No two golfers are the same, neither are two golf swings. Some of the techniques in golf swing instruction guides simply will not work on some people because of their anatomy. And guides cannot be expected to address all anatomical differences.

For instance, the flexibility and agility of a slender golfer cannot be normally matched by the powerful swing of a stocky person and vice versa. The stocky golfer uses his broad shoulders to create the power to strike the ball to a far distance and this is matched by the legerity and the suppleness of the slender golfer to take his back swing far behind his

Question by vikingsfanin04: whats the proper way to swing a golf club?

Best answer:

Answer by Josh T
That is a very tough question to answer on paper. You should always keep your eye on the ball, and swing through the ball. I would encourage you to get someone to show you as it is very hard to explain without showing you.

golf swing proper turn?

proper golf swing
by Steve Cox Illustration

Question by Brown man: golf swing proper turn?
i have been experiencing some problems with my golf swing…..i believe that it is a result to a misturn in my hips..i think i dont turn them enough becuase i thought that a minimum hip turn with good upper body turn would maximize power. i realized i was mistaken so i tried to fix it but now i think i over turn to the point where it can be considered almost a reverse pivot.

how much turn is right…if you could describe it…

thank you

Answer by Swingin’ My Life Away!
The hips play a very important role in the golf swing. The problem is that most people do not understand the correct motion that they must make. The correct move is NOT a simple turn of the hips from the top of the swing, as many would believe.

In fact, the correct move is a slight lateral shift, or “bump”, and then a turn. If you look at players like Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo, you will see a perfect example of this. These guys don’t just turn their hips away from the top. Instead, their weight shifts laterally to the left side, which drops everything (arms and shoulders) into the slot. From there, they can just turn and fire through the ball as hard as they want.

Most over the top slicers do just the opposite of what Tiger and Nick do. They turn, instead of shifting, then turning. When they turn, their right arm and shoulder throw over the top of the plane.

Here is a checklist for you to develop the correct hip movement:

1.) From the top, feel that you “bump” your hips laterally and slightly out to the right (out to right field). This will drop your arms into the inside slot, from where you can attack the ball.

2.) Once you achieve that nice inside position, you are home free! It’s now just a matter of turning your hips and firing through the ball aggressively.

Keep in mind not to shift your upper body along with your hips. It’s simply a lower body shift. Hope this helps you some. I know it sure did help me. Good luck. Happy Holidays.

The Proper Golf Swing And How To Achieve It

proper golf swing
by dæxus

Article by John Pawlett

Every golfer wants to know the magic secret to achieving the proper golf swing. One that is repeatable and produces results.

If you have been trying to accomplish the proper golf swing through traditional ways and still aren’t happy with your results, you’ll need to keep reading this article to find out why.

You see, it’s your body that is keeping you from achieving the proper golf swing and playing your best golf! Doesn’t that make sense?

If your body is physically declining, and has limited golf-specific strength and flexibility, you will have a minimal chance at ever achieving the proper golf swing.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is a fact!

There are certain physical ‘musts’ to achieve a proper golf swing.

Here are just a couple:

1. Approximately a 90 degree shoulder turn with a 45 hip turn.2. Golf posture with a slight bend at the hips and in the knees.3. Start the downswing with the lower body first, maintaining your upper body coil.4. Impact. You should be ‘behind the ball’ with your head and upper body as the hips are slightly open.5. Follow through requires maintaining the spine angle you had at address, throughout the follow through.

Now, you don’t see how physical limitations in both strength and flexibility will limit or not allow you to attain the above requirements, I don’t think you’re

Q&A: The proper golf swing and clubs that fit?

proper golf swing
by dæxus

Question by Peter L: The proper golf swing and clubs that fit?
I’m taking lessons right now and really trying to get my swing down right…what I am experiencing tho is that my golf shot/ball flight (not swing…maybe it still is bad…but thats why Im taking lessons)…seems to be getting worse…I think its because now that my form is getting better and Im beginning to really understand the mechanics of a proper golf swing (although exectution is a totally different issue) I am not adjusting my swing to fit my equipment as much as in the past…I am really hitting a wall…anyone else experience the same thing when they really began to understand the golf swing? I have about 12 lessons left and really thinking about just stopping for now and getting some fitted clubs…what are some of your thoughts?
in response to danbetti…im not really blaming my equipment for my bad golf game…what im saying is, if your clubs dont fit…can you really perform what should be a textbook golf swing…i kno eldrick woods can pick up any club and smash the cover the cover off…ive got some cheap clubs that are cast iron and apparently very hard metal, so the pro shop wasnt able to adjust the lie…which they say is about 2.75-3 degrees to upright…which means at address my arms cant hang the way a “proper” swing calls for…i asked this question because whats the point of me taking lessons learning how to make a good golf swing, when my equipment prevents right from the get go a proper set up…im asking this question to find out if others have faced the same thing…i wasnt really blaming on my cheap clubs…im partly blaming clubs dont dont fit properly…so this question applies whether or not im swing $ 2K set that dont fit…
correction not danbetti…wbaker, the 2nd response.

Best answer:

Answer by danbettin
90% of golf is played between the ears…when you think too much, it messes up your golf swing. As for your clubs, be sure they are fitted correctly, it makes a huge difference. Get some fitted clubs and then take some lessons…it should help.

The Proper Golf Swing Helps You To Reduce Lower Back Stress

golf swing help
by libbylibbylibby

Article by Ditto White

An improper golf swing can be the cause of serious back injury mostly in the lower back and this is a common occurrence in many golfers. By learning the proper way to reduce the stress on your lower back while making a golf swing, you can enjoy this game for many years to come. This is because you will not have to experience pain afterwards or risk serious injury. Let’s face it, if you injure yourself then you will not be able to enjoy your golf game the way you would like.

Here are some helpful tips for improving your golf swing and reducing lower back stress:

* When you take the golf club to the rear to swing, slow down. This reduces lower back stress. A slower swing will relieve a good portion of the stress occurring at the top of your swing and at the lower back.

* Direct your swing to your hips and shoulders by concentrating on how you rotate on them. The idea is to get all rotation out of your back and directed to these areas. Doing so reduces lower back stress at the point of your swing.

* Shift your body weight on to your right foot when pulling back the golf club to swing. It would be the opposite foot if you are a left-handed golfer.

* Try not to spread your feet too far apart when going to swing and drive the golf ball. Of course, you want your feet spread just enough for a good position to drive properly, but when the feet
