u r right
i’ve yet to meet a golfer that can effectively work on their posture or conciously change anything at impact. most good teachers teach a series of causes and effects to a given student. they might change something in their setup to help achieve a better position later in the swing. tiger, for example, sets up beautifully and it’s not a coincidence that the positions throughout his golf swing are fantastic. kostis is a little off base here

Don’t understand that, either. Back in the 80s he was a brilliant teacher, and his book The Inside Path to Better Golf is maybe the most underrated instruction book of all time. It’s like when he got to be an announcer, he started agreeing with whatever guru was hot at the time, without really trying to resolve any of the elements of the competing theories. I’m not sure he even knows what he believes now. I’ve heard him give completely contradictory analysis and advice over and over.
tigers biggest key is his grip check out the proper grip and release at hitmanhawky and read tigers golf digest artical on how he hits his shots and see the grip and release is it check my lessons out at hitmanhawky and thanks
if u have the ball just inside the left heel your in perfect position with your spine angle. for those who think they have to tilt bak u dont if the ball is just inside the left heelmake sure to stay loose and that will give u great distance.

this is an awesome vid. Definitely going to try that right tilt on down swing. I usually start out w/ tilt tho.
GOLF

Shallowing out your angle of attack has to done with every club in the bag, especially with long irons and woods. I would say if the angle of attack isn’t shallow enough, then topping and thin shots will occur
Your spine angle shifts to allow your right shoulder to move down plane thus driving your arms and club on plane to delivery position (club parallel to the ground). Kostis seems to be claiming that you only need to do it with a driver and the reason is to insure shallow angle of attack.
What about Paul Casey? He hasn’t done too badly.

kostis calls it spine angle.Hogan called it the swing plane and it tilts slightly upward on the downswing and points slightly to the right at impact,relative to the backswing plane.
