What are some good golfing tips?

Question by Pimpgeist Immortal: What are some good golfing tips?
Ive recently started as an aquaintance in biz does, I have a good drive I use a North Western 1 Wood and it sails and I hit straight but other than that Im lost.
It’s fun though.
I practice in my field and I’d say 75% of the time I hit the ball over around 175 yards and fairly straight almost every time. I can get it to go either way slightly too
Sometimes it really sails…

  1. Keep your head down, which should be easy for a shameful…. oh, sorry, ok feep your head down, and I take it you are having a little trouble with longer fairway shots. Hit some balls at the range, and there will always be two maybe three clubs that you always hit good with, you feel confident and comfortable with them. Well, when you practice use all your clubs, but when you play the course, if you have a shot that takes a three iron, but you hate your three iron, go ahead and use the five if you are confident and comfortable with it. On the course don’t think about anything, just do it. On the practice range, think about everything, grip, knees, you name it. And lastly, have fun man, if you drink, maybe half a beer will help you relax. If you are a recovering addict forget what I just said. have fun

  2. Unless you are either naturally very talented or have lot of time on your hand to practice, Golf will frustrate you most of the time. The key is to play within your limitations and have fun doing it. Don’t set unreasonable expectations like hitting the ball 300 yards or hitting perfect shots. Golf is the game of misses. Good players simply miss in the right spots. So just have fun in the sun and don’t worry too much.

  3. It’s really not that good, most golf holes are at least 300yds. That means you are hitting Driver/3W to get to the green. Get newer equipment then practice.

If you are just starting don’t practice all driver get an iron and see how many different shots and distance you can do with that one club versus just how far you can hit your driver, which again isn’t that far.

  4.
